What to do when someone passes

Hi, there's some things that are troubling me right now. I have an Aunt who passed away a few days and I'm wondering a few things. What can you do on Christmas when the funeral is two days later? Is it bad to go to a gathering with in laws? Is it bad to watch your favorite TV shows before and after wakes and funerals? What if you need things to temporarily ease your mind during tough times? I mean I'm not sure if I'll het much sleep the night before a funeral. I'm just not sure what one can or cannot do even if your are thinking of a deceased relative and feeling sad.

I suspect nothing happens. Eternal sleep and all that.
But I wont know until it happens to me.
