You may have the ambivalent blessing of living a long way from Greece, but please have a look, please just read for a minute or two, extracts from a book written by the American Consul General G. Horton who was in Smyrna in 1922. If nothing else, it will shed some light on the history of your motherland. Read what happened to the people of your blood from an expert eye-witness of the highest standing and don't think for a minute that Turkish ambitions have in any way lessened. Knowledge is not only power, it saves us from holding unwittingly uninformed opinions.
