I am Roman Catholic myself. However, the woman who always sits next to me at
church asked me if I knew when Greek Easter was this year. Being one who jumps
at the chance to search for something on the internet, I told her I would find out and
let her know next weekend, hoping it had not already passed. In my search, I came
across a website (Greek and Cretan Easter customs) that provided me with the
information I was seeking and much, much more. The following quote is some
of the information I found from that website:

"According to the ruling of the First Ecumenical Synod in 325, Easter
Sunday should fall on the Sunday which follows the first full moon
after the vernal equinox. If the full moon happens to fall on a Sunday,
Easter is observed the following Sunday. The day taken to be the
invariable date of the vernal equinox is March 21."

In addition, the website also posted the following dates for Greek Easter through 2010:
"2002: May 5 2005: May 1 2008: April 27
2003: April 27 2006: April 23 2009: April 19
2004: April 11 2007: April 8 2010: April 4"

If anyone is interested in checking out the actual website, I have provided the
address in the "Optional Link URL" below. Hope this is helpful for at least one person. By the way, is there any Greek Orthodox
tradition with respect to braiding of the palms received on Palm Sunday?

HAPPY EASTER!

: The Greek Easter is in Sunday 5 may this year and you can find it in every ecclesiastical calendar

: Best wishes
