: Is bravo a latin word and if so what does it mean in latin?

"Bravo" is an Italian word and it expresses approval of a performer. Due to the geographical proximity of Greece and Italy and the long historical and cultural links of the two peoples one finds an abundance of Italian words in Modern Greek like: Porta, Kouzina, Varka, Panteloni, etc.
