: Can anybody give me advice on how to deal with a Greek mother in-law?? I myself am not Greek but I have a good knowledge of the Greek language.
: I can get on very well with her but sometimes I feel she is taking over my life. I was wandering if maybe it would be a good idea to try and talk to her about it?

All this reminds me of a very old Greek mom-in-law joke, probably on this post somewhere:

A Greek boy brings home three women, all of whom he is considering marrying, to meet his mother. After the mother has met each of them, the son makes his decision. He asks his mother, "Do you know whom I've chosen to be my wife, Ma?" And she answers correctly, "The third one." He says, "Ma! How did you know that?" She answers, "Because she's the one I didn't like!"
