Again, your reasoning is based on what can be considered "tangible" evidence. All the great thinkers, (this is open to personal opinion), first hypothesized and then theorized. The scope of their hypotheses were far from being grounded in the "tangible" realm in which they presided. Being unable to literally touch or see something, does this make it non-existent? I believe, with confidence, that this is not the case.
