: Well I have a different problem. My son married a lovely greek girl from a very religious family. That isn't such a problem untill it came to what they would name their first child if it is a daughter. The pethera insists that they cannot name it after me as I do not have a saints name. It is a cypriot name very popular and I just can't understand why not. I don't mind what they name their child but now my back is up. I have 4 children and told them that if one of them names me and their dad that is enough. We don't need 4 granchildren with my name and 4 with my husbands name!!!!.
We didn't name our children with the greek names...we used names we liked and used in-laws (greek) names as middle names...actually we shortened father-in-laws for son cause we felt it was to much of a mouth full...... Yes, it does get confussing when there are 4 kids or more with all the same name!! Good luck!!
