: Our client is the largest office supplies, telephony, and computer seller in Greece offering over 15 thousand products. The company was founded and established in 1969 by the current Managing Director with whom we are working directly. In 1999 with 230 employees, annual sales reached $45 million (80% increase from ’98) with $3.7 million in earnings through 8 retail stores, field sales to large accounts, mail order catalog sales to small business and consumer accounts, as well as an e-commerce channel. The company went public in March of 1999 issuing 600k shares at 3250 DR ($11.65 USD) and is now trading at 6000 DR ($21.50 USD). : MLB Associates has been engaged to place US trained direct marketers (1 to 2 year contract) with our client in Greece to build and enhance their direct marketing expertise. The company offers multi-channel sales networks and needs your expertise in one of the following areas:
: Direct Mail – publishing 50 catalog editions per year in five titles totaling five million copies annually. Specific and successful experience in direct mail, target segmentation, circulation, response rate analysis, postage, (etc.) is required.
: E-Commerce – with well over 15k hits per day most eyeballs last approximately 10 minutes. E-commerce site marketing, merchandise layout, navigation, cross-selling, (etc.) experience is necessary.
: Telemarketing – inbound and outbound call center focusing on customer service and customer relationship marketing (CRM). Experience in list management, acquisition, segmentation (etc.) is essential.
: Fulfillment – economical, timely, and quality-complete distribution to individual consumers, corporate accounts, and over 320 retail outlets is imperative. Your expertise in postage, packaging, delivery, (etc.) will be vital.
: You will possess, but not be limited to, the following skills/requirements:
: ·An MBA and a few years of experience specializing in one of the above areas or several (5-8) years’ management/supervisory experience in one of the above departments within a similar company.
: ·Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the desire to share/teach your expertise.
: ·Ability to communicate in Greek as well as English (and/or French).
: ·Willingness to spend up to two years in Athens, Greece.
: ·Previous international (especially in the Mediterranean) direct marketing experience will be a great plus.
