I also consider myself one of the "Lucky ones", although my circumstances resulted in the opposite effect. Although the "Man" caved to the influence of his parents, I consider myself to be fortunate he did so B4, our lives together began. Had he caved after we had began a life together, how much more disasterous the results? When would he have folded? After we had children and break up a home? After to lived to regret his decision, and blame me for his misery? So, although I did not get the man...maybe indeed I did gain alot...and am one of the "Lucky" ones.
Actually I view it more as, God's Will, for this moment in my life...He knows so much better the beginning to the end, then I do!
