: Hi,

: Does anyone have a recipe for shrimp saganaki? I've had it out in the Cyclades but I can't seem to find a recipe for it in any Greek recipe books. I suspect that the dish relies on the excellent local produce which isn't quite as good here in London!

Hi
I don't have a recipe but I tried a really nice one in Crete this year. I suspect it is the usual tomato sauce (with finely chopped onions and garlic, a few herbs, probably parsley/oregano and I think, some spice, a little cinnamon and maybe paprika (the one I had was slightly peppery) - cook it all up and then throw in your prawns and pieces of cheese - or did you have something very different? Where in London are you? If you are near Haringey you can get a lot of stuff there?
