Forget English equivalents and what to call the 1st born son.
Get married 1st. Then have a baby (or not) and see if it's a son.
If you do have a baby and it is a son, decide with your husband what to name it.
If it's a girl, decide with your husband what to name it (or go with tradition again
and name her after your mom).
Everybody in Greece and Cyprus has the same names because of these traditions.
Why are you worrying about what to name a nonexistent baby when you haven't even gotten
married yet????????
